Successful transition to latest ISO 27001:2022 standard

News Published on 22 January 2024

PDMS is pleased to announce that we have achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification.

The certification is the latest version of the internationally recognized standard for information security management systems.  We have held the ISO 27001 security standard for 18 years, but the latest version of the standard has evolved to reflect the changes to global digital landscape.

The new ISO 27001:2022 standard introduces several enhancements that reflect the evolving threat landscape and the increasing importance of information security. These enhancements include:

  • A strengthened focus on data privacy, cyber resilience, and confidentiality
  • Promotion of a holistic approach to information security: vetting people, policies physical security and technology
  • A modernised risk-based approach systematically identifying, treating and reducing information security risks

By transitioning to the latest and newest version it ensures that we have robust controls to address increasingly sophisticated security risks.  It also demonstrates our commitment to protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our customers’ data, as well as our alignment with the latest industry standards.

Simon Edwards, Quality & Standards Manager at PDMS commented:

“Achieving the new ISO 27001:2022 security standard demonstrates our commitment to safeguarding our customers' data and upholding the highest standards of information security. This certification is not just about meeting regulatory requirements; it's about building trust with our customers and demonstrating our unwavering commitment to protecting their valuable information. By implementing robust security measures, we are enabling our customers to do business with confidence, knowing that their data is in safe hands.”
