We use cookies and similar technologies on pdms.com. This page explains what they are, which ones we use, what each one does and how you control them.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Some cookies come from pdms.com. Others come from third parties whose services we use, such as Google or LinkedIn.

Some cookies last only until you close your browser. Others stay on your device until they expire or until you delete them. We also use local storage, which works in a similar way and stays until you clear it.

Your choices

When you first visit pdms.com you will see a banner asking about cookies. You can accept them all, reject everything that is not essential, or open Cookie settings and choose category by category.

We set nothing optional until you choose. If you reject, no analytics or marketing cookie is set at all.

To change your mind at any time, select the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page on this site. That reopens the same panel, and your new choice replaces the old one.

We keep your choice for one year, then ask again.

The categories we use

We group cookies into three categories, the same three you see in the Cookie settings panel.

Strictly necessary. Needed for the site to work and for our forms to be safe to use. These are always on, because the site cannot function without them. You are not asked to consent to them, but we explain them below.

Analytics. Helps us understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are opened and which links are followed, so we can improve it. Off until you turn it on.

Marketing. Used to measure which of our adverts brought you here, and to show embedded content such as videos. Off until you turn it on.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are set whether or not you make a choice.

_GRECAPTCHA

Google

Part of Google reCAPTCHA, which scores how likely it is that a form is being filled in by a program rather than a person. We use that score to decide whether to accept the form. This is a Google cookie and it is set on google.com.

sitePopupLastShown

pdms.com

Local storage. Remembers when we last showed you a site message, so we do not repeat it.

Until you clear it

We treat reCAPTCHA as strictly necessary because it protects our contact forms from automated abuse, and the site cannot safely accept form submissions without it.

Once you answer the banner we also set one cookie to remember what you chose.

Some of our pages embed a video hosted by Vimeo. If you turn Marketing on, the video loads and Vimeo sets these.

Services that do not set cookies but do see your visit

Some parts of our pages are delivered by other companies. They set no cookie, but their servers see your IP address and the address of the page you are on, because your browser has to ask them for the file.
