PDMS delivers new website for Villa Gaiety

News Published on 08 October 2018

PDMS completed an exciting project with the team at the Isle of Man’s historic Villa Marina and Gaiety Theatre complex to design and deliver their new website.

Improved user experience for entertainment events

The Villa Gaiety team wanted to improve the user experience to make it even easier for users to access event information and purchase tickets, with a focus on ease of use on mobiles and tablets.

PDMS’ design team has created a great looking website which reflects the Villa Gaiety’s new branding and showcases the many diverse events hosted at the three primary venues, the Villa Marina, the Gaiety Theatre and the Broadway Cinema.

Integration with additional systems

Interactive seating plans also allow users to experience the view from main seating sections within the theatre and the Villa Marina. The website integrates seamlessly with the organisation's ticketing partner, TicketSolve.

The new website uses the open source Umbraco content management system which gives the Villa Gaiety team a great deal of flexibility when it comes to updating their content.

PDMS is an Umbraco Certified Partner and two members of the team have recently received the Umbraco Certified Master accreditation - ensuring they are up to date with all the latest Umbraco platform developments.

Jim Rawson, Design Manager at PDMS, commented:

“The Villa Gaiety website was delivered on time, and on budget - and it is a great showcase of what can be achieved when public and private sector collaborate.”

Joseph Morphet, Marketing Officer at the Villa Gaiety, added:

"The team at PDMS has been great to work with, with their professional and knowledgeable approach. We are extremely happy with the final product and feel it has exceeded our objectives, with customers already giving us lots of positive feedback."
