A leading international shipping exhibition, Posidonia takes place in the Metropolitan Expo in Athens, Greece between Monday 1st - Friday 5th June and is one of the major calendar events for the maritime industry.

The exhibition attracts the most influential individuals and organisations from the Greek and international shipping community with major companies from all sectors of the maritime industry exhibiting and networking across the five days.

First taking place in 1969, Posidonia has been taking place every two years since and 2026's event will be bigger and better than ever. More than 2,000 exhibitors and 30,000 industry professionals are expected to visit the Athens Metropolitan Expo for what promises to be the maritime event of the year.

The theme for 2026 is 'Shipping: The backbone of humanity' which represents the industry's focus on sustainability, green shipping technology and innovation as a means of supporting international connectivity, particularly in the current global climate.
