New Net Zero website to help fight climate change

News Published on 02 February 2022

We are proud to have worked with the Isle of Man Climate Change Transformation Team to deliver a brand-new website to inform the Manx public about the net zero strategy for the Island.

PDMS designed and built the website, using Umbraco to power the content management system.

The website meets the latest accessibility requirements and is fully optimised for mobile, tablet and desktop browsing. The Net Zero website which provides progress on the Island’s commitments to net zero, aims to be the central hub of information relating to climate change to help educate and inform residents on the actions they can undertake to reduce their own emissions.

The launch of the website coincided with the COP26 conference that was held in November 2021. The Isle of Man sent a delegation of three to COP26 which highlighted the work of the team and the Isle of Man’s plans to reach net zero.

Mrs Daphne Caine, Chair of the Climate Change Transformation Board at Isle of Man Government commented:

"We are extremely happy with how the website has turned out. The website is an integral part of our strategy to create an engaging narrative for the Manx public about our work towards reaching carbon neutrality and also help people understand the action they can take to reduce their own emissions."

Georgia Vernon, UX Designer at PDMS added:

"Working alongside the Climate Change Transformation team to develop their new website has been a great opportunity. They already had a really strong brand identity, and it has been very rewarding to bring it to life on their new website. I’ve really enjoyed working on a project which will have a positive impact on the environment and I look forward to seeing it being used by people around the Island."
