PDMS appointed by Goshawk Communications
Goshawk Communications has selected PDMS to develop the customer-facing features of its enhanced hearing mobile service.
The service will be available to Manx Telecom Pay Monthly customers later this summer in a world’s first launch on the Island.
Goshawk aims to transform the communication experience of the estimated 15% of the population suffering from hearing loss. They will provide a personalised hearing experience over mobile phone networks, which can dramatically improve call clarity and speech intelligibility.
Goshawk has been working with Vannin Ventures, Manx Telecom’s incubator, over the last two years to refine the service which received extremely positive feedback when trialled on the Isle of Man last year.
Matthew Turner, founder of Goshawk Communications, said:
“We are very pleased that PDMS has helped us develop this innovative and valuable mobile service. PDMS are world-class software developers with an outstanding reputation for quality, reliability and delivery. Their recent appointment as Commonwealth Export Champion is testament to the reputation they have gained and the esteem they’re held in. Wherever possible, Goshawk Communications will choose local businesses to develop products and services. We feel fortunate that a company with the experience and technical capability of PDMS is present on the Island.”
Chris Gledhill, Founder of PDMS, said:
“We are excited to work with Goshawk Communications and Vannin Ventures on this project. Not only is it interesting in terms of the smart application of technology to solve an increasing problem in society, it has the potential to demonstrably improve the lives of those with hearing loss both here on the Island and around the world.”
Accessibility is hugely important to us at PDMS so we are delighted to support this inclusive initiative to make a difference to Manx Telecom users and further afield.
