Lewis joined PDMS in February 2001 as a trainee developer, having crossed over from an academic career. He graduated from Swansea University in 1991 with an honours degree in Marine Biology, followed by a Master's degree in Applied Fish Biology in 1992 from University of Plymouth. Finally, moving to the University of Liverpool's Port Erin Marine Laboratory on the Isle of Man in 1994, he gained his Doctorate in Benthic Ecology in 2000, whilst working as a Research Technician. Having joined PDMS, Lewis gained invaluable on-the-job experience and knowledge within a project team, progressing to Developer, Lead Developer and his current position of Software Development Manager. He has obtained Microsoft MCAD and MCPD qualifications in Software Development.

Lewis' current role involves overseeing the technical aspects of the project lifecycle, including; reviewing specifications and technical oversight during the lifetime of a project, managing our development frameworks, defining & coordinating platform enhancements, and providing support & guidance to project teams. He also provides input into the Sales and Business Development processes, and provides training to developers and analysts.
