Kerry is a highly experienced Umbraco Developer and Support Analyst with 17 years of experience in the IT industry, 10 of those at PDMS. Kerry began her career in web development after studying an Open University course in Web Applications Development where she obtained a Certificate. She has also gained a BCS Foundations in Software Development certificate, a Diploma in manual bookkeeping and recently became an Umbraco Master. Prior to joining PDMS, Kerry worked at MIS Active Management Systems in Northwich, Cheshire, supporting mostly housing systems.
Kerry has worked on a wide variety of PDMS’ projects, including the Service Information System builds for Centrica, the development of the Gov.im websites, THEMIS a financial intelligence system for Gibraltar and other various development projects. More recently, Kerry has greatly contributed towards the ongoing development of the Umbraco Platform - taking responsibility for the direction that PDMS takes with Umbraco. This role includes the creation of base sites, training of developers and defining our internal policies and processes around Umbraco.
Kerry also plays a key role in supporting our different clients. With knowledge of lots of different systems and platforms she can deal efficiently with client queries and support issues from investigation, through to fix and release. Two days are never the same and there are always a different set of challenges; Kerry really enjoys the problem-solving aspect of her role.
In her spare time, Kerry likes to craft jewellery and sew, and is proud to be a committee member of Manx Craft Guild. She also enjoys walking along many of the Isle of Man’s heritage walks.
