Emma holds a BSc (hons) in Web and Multimedia from University of Central Lancashire, a degree which provided insight into web and multimedia design, 2D and 3D graphic design, website design, usability, AV systems and computer programming.

Emma has gone on to study with the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB), gaining certification in Foundation in Business Analysis, Foundation in Software Testing, Advanced Test Analysis, Advanced Technical Test Analysis and Advanced Test Management.

After graduating from university, Emma gained a wealth of experience in a variety of roles in the IT industry, including Systems Analyst, Senior Test Analyst and Test Lead, Technical Specialist, Sales Co-ordinator, Helpdesk Co-ordinator and Hardware Contracts Manager. Emma now has close to 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, with the last eight spent in Analysis and Testing.

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst for the Transport & Ticketing team in PDMS, Emma is involved in the entire project lifecycle from pre-sales to post-go-live support. Emma works closely with developers and a variety of end users to produce innovative solutions to complex problems which ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction. Emma’s role further encompasses testing, producing system documentation, investigating defects and providing training to users on new systems.

In her spare time Emma enjoys walking, fishing, knitting and any other type of craft.
