David joined Weir Systems in 1992 as part of the Internal Operation Department which had responsibility for maintaining internal IT systems and infrastructure. Taking this experience with the internal systems, David moved into Customer Services to assist external clients with their own infrastructure and software requirements. David now combines these two areas of expertise, working closely with Robert MacDonald to maintain PDMS UK’s IT infrastructure and support client installations.
Throughout his career David has had the opportunity to pick up a wide range of skill sets ranging from the well-known software and hardware products used within offices such as the Microsoft range, down to some more specialised products designed for factory and production facilities.
David particularly enjoys working with clients and building long-term relationships (although this may well be an excuse for spending so much time on-site – nothing to do with the occasional free lunch!).
