Chris is a Support Developer with over 10 years of experience in the IT industry, 4 of those at PDMS. Chris began his career in IT began after graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University with a BSc (hons) in Computing. He has also recently obtained the title of Umbraco Master after completing an in-depth Umbraco training course

Prior to starting at PDMS, Chris worked at MoPowered who specialise in mobile e-commerce. He developed mobile applications for brands such as Next, HMV and Waterstones which are used on the Apple App store.  Prior to that he worked at King Williams College, straight out of university, as a network assistant where his main role revolved around installing new computers and the maintenance of the school network.

Chris has worked on a variety of projects at PDMS, ranging from our ship administration system (MARIS) for the Bahamas Maritime Authority, Isle of Man Government websites, Guernsey FIU Themis (Financial Intelligence Units system), and Doxshare for the Ship and Aircraft Registries. Chris’s role at PDMS is within the support team, using his technical expertise to fix bugs. He communicates regularly with clients to find the root cause of issues and fix them efficiently; his particular area of expertise lies within mobile applications and Umbraco.

Chris’ favourite thing about working at PDMS is the diversity of the work performed by the company, using many different languages and frameworks. He enjoys working with both a wide range of client and different technologies and platforms.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys building computers, playing rugby and watching a good game of football. He is also a keen musician, playing the bass guitar.
