Andy Bourdillon studied Physics at Lancaster University and holds an Honours Degree in Computing & Statistics from the Open University, an ISEB/ISTQB Foundation certificate in Software Testing, as well as Diplomas in Computing and Statistics, and Sound Recording and Music Technology.
Following university Andy spent five years as a self-employed qualified sound engineer, working largely at live music venues. Prior to joining PDMS in 2000, Andy worked at Clerical Medical International as the Senior Administrator of the policy payment department.
At PDMS Andy has a genuinely varied role covering many disciplines, but has a speciality for testing and a particular interest in data and statistical analysis. As a Systems Analyst, Andy’s role involves working closely with clients and systems integration testing.
Andy brings significant technical insight to projects and is predominantly committed to MARIS and other registry systems. Andy also contributes to projects for Centrica (British Gas), and previous projects include the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company and various NHS systems. Andy also has an important role mentoring junior developers.
In his spare time Andy has an unremitting passion for fashion, and pursues interests in physics, reading, diving, horse-riding, 18th century Gothic calligraphy and HGV driving, whilst he has more recently turned his attention to the study of Madeuptonium gluon-muon interaction theory.
