Andrew is no stranger to PDMS, having previously worked for the company for 4 years until 2005, and re-joined the company in January 2012 as a Project Manager before quickly taking up the position of Business Development Manager in 2013 followed by the position of Head of Business Development in January 2014. In the intervening period he worked as a project manager and datacentre manager for an Isle of Man-based technology company.
Since re-joining PDMS, Andrew has moved in to the business development role, taking responsibility for the businesss sales with his primary focus being the Isle of Man. Naturally due to the nature of such a role, this will at times extend beyond the Island.
A Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Andrew is highly knowledgeable about corporate ISO standards and brings valuable experience back to the PDMS ISO team which he originally helped establish in 2002.
Andrew has longstanding skills and varied experience gained in the engineering, construction and IT sectors, having overseen the construction of almost everything from traditional looms to hi-tech datacentres, steam engines to Jet engines. One of Andrew's many strengths is an ability to get on well with people from all walks of life, and this is an aspect of business development he particularly enjoys.
Andrew is at his happiest when dealing with people, processes and change. Not standing still for long, he always has a drive to change and improve whilst remaining customer focused and always wanting to deliver that little bit extra.
Not one to shy away from 'getting his hands dirty', Andrew has been known to renovate everything from houses to motorbikes in his spare time, and like many Island residents he also enjoys walking.
