PDMS has been awarded certification to the International Security standard ISO/IEC 27001 by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance.

BS 7799 was first introduced in the UK by the Department of Trade and Industry in 1995 to offer best practice and guidance in information security management. Outlining standards specific to information security management; the standard focuses on areas such as security policy, physical and environmental security, access control and business continuity management.

In October 2005 BS 7799 part 2, was revised and formally adopted as a new international standard, ISO/IEC 27001:2005.  PDMS were one of the first companies to be assessed and certified against this new updated standard.

Likewise, in July 2014, PDMS were awarded certification to the now internationally respected standard ISO/IEC 27001:2013, superseding the 2005 standard.  In doing so PDMS were amongst the world's first to be certified.

This standard provides a framework for managing our security responsibilities for both our internal business and our customers’ systems and as a useful management tool in the battle against a wide range of information security hazards.  By holding our ISO 27001 certification we are able to provide external assurance for our customers that PDMS are managing their data responsibly in an ever changing landscape regarding data security.
