PDMS has been awarded certification to the International Security standard ISO 27001 by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance.

In an age where cyber security has never been more important, PDMS has underlined its commitment to information security through its certification to ISO 27001. This certification helps to provide a framework for managing our security responsibilities for both our internal business and our customers’ systems and is a useful management tool in the battle against a wide range of information security hazards.

ISO 27001 allows PDMS to demonstrate that it is following best practice, and delivers an independent, expert assessment of whether the data that we safeguard is sufficiently protected.  Our certification enables us to provide external assurance for our customers that PDMS are managing their data responsibly in an ever changing landscape regarding data security.  ISO 27001 outlines standards specific to information security management; the standard focuses on areas such as security policy, physical and environmental security, access control and incident management.

In October 2005 BS 7799 part 2, was revised and formally adopted as a new international standard, ISO/IEC 27001:2005.  PDMS was one of the first companies to be assessed and certified against this new updated standard.  Likewise, in July 2014, PDMS was awarded certification to the now internationally respected standard ISO/IEC 27001:2013, superseding the 2005 standard.  In doing so we were amongst the world's first to be certified.
