David signs up for The Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon
The team at PDMS are always looking for opportunities to support our local communities in the Isle of Man and Scotland.
Our Sales Director David Stickland has signed up for the The Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon
The Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon - one of Scotland's toughest one day events and an exhilarating test of stamina, strength and fitness through one of the most spectacular areas of the Scottish Highlands.
Taking place on Saturday 12 July 2014, he faces a very gruelling challenge to swim 0.8 miles across Loch Tay, walk/run 15 miles over 7 Munros (including the UK's 10th highest mountain), kayak 7 miles, and cycle 34 miles around Loch Tay ... all in one day! To stop the clock he even has to slice a melon in two - with a sword!
David commented, "I have some serious training to do and I will be pushing myself to the limit, so please dig deep and sponsor my pain - every penny will count.
The aim of the event is to raise as much money as possible for the Artemis Charitable Foundation who will distribute funds to the two nominated charity beneficiaries: Mercy Corps and Mary's Meals. Mercy Corps, an international development charity works in over 41 countries worldwide helping people to turn the crises of natural disaster, poverty and conflict into opportunities for progress. Mary's Meals is also an international movement, setting up school feeding projects in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education.
Many thanks for your support!"
