Management & SupportThe provision of quality support services is central to our philosophy of long term partnership with our clients. Managing our relationship with youOver the full lifecycle of a business application(s) there are many different aspects to the relationship between a client organisation and its technology partners. To be truly successful it is necessary to excel at both the strategic level in understanding how to improve overall business outcomes, and at the day to day technical level in support of individual users. Each of these aspects requires its own skills and disciplines which we have developed as part of our overall approach. Partnership supportEach client has an Account Manager, this will be a senior member of the PDMS team with the authority and experience to provide ongoing consultancy and business support, as well as being able to deal effectively with any tactical issues which may arise during the course of a project. The Account Manager provides the primary point of contact in the long term and is responsible for understanding the developing business needs of the client, as well as keeping the client up to date with new opportunities and developments within PDMS. Managing projectsWe regard project management as one of the core skills in software engineering and take a project based approach to all of our developments. This ensures that there is effective control of timescales and budgets and also helps to keep in check the inevitable scope creep which blights so many software projects. We have a well defined project lifecycle methodology which is compatible with most standard systems such as PRINCE2. Supporting applicationsOn going application support and maintenance is provided by a dedicated team, and we have a number of different support packages to cover different requirements from a simple pay as you go approach to a fully managed service. |
