News Newsletters Events Articles	Success for PDMS sponsored snowboarder Zoë Castletown based IT company, PDMS, recently presented Zoë Gillings, Britain's only World Cup snowboardcross competitor, with a mobile phone to congratulate her on her recent victories in the opening World Cup events in Chile. Zoë achieved an amazing first place in the opening World Cup race and next day took the silver medal in the second World Cup event. These results have placed her as number 1 in the current snowboardcross World Cup standings. PDMS, who sponsor local girl Zoë, heard of her disappointment in not being awarded a mobile phone at her World Cup victory. Zoë had recently lost her phone and at every other World Cup event she has attended, Nokia, the event sponsors, have presented the winner with a mobile phone. On her recent trip back home to the Island, Chris Gledhill was able to surprise Zoë with the phone and congratulate her on reaching the IOC (International Olympic Committee) qualifying standard for the winter Olympics in 2006. Chris commented, "We are delighted to have the opportunity to support Zoë and she has made a fantastic start to the season. Reaching the qualifying standard for the Olympics is an amazing achievement and we are looking forward to seeing her in action in Turin in 2006".
