PDMS feature in Online Services TV Interview

The Isle of Man required an efficient means of delivering Online services to support its extensive range of Central and Local Government services. With their partner PDMS, the IoM Government have built a common architecture to provide new online services and facilities on a modular basis which reduces individual service build and overall total cost of ownership whilst increasing consistency of service for customers.

The "Shared Services" environment is built on Microsoft technology. The key benefit is that problems such as identity management (authentication and access control), and online payments are solved once and Government departments can reuse the same infrastructure in order to quickly allow further services to be put online.
