PDMS supports budding entrepreneurs![]() PDMS were delighted to sponsor the Junior Achievement 2008 Company Award programme this year which saw nine groups of students from schools around the Isle of Man compete to be awarded the prize for Company of the Year. Chris Gledhill, who took part in the judging process, awarded the winning company, Bee Green, with their prize at a Gala dinner held to celebrate the awards on Tuesday 15th April. The companies participating in the Junior Achievement Company programme took part in a rigorous judging process for which they had to produce a report, give a presentation, set up a trade stand and take part in panel interviews. Chris said he was enormously impressed by the companies that participated and the level of professionalism, enthusiasm and business acumen they displayed. This year’s winner, Bee Green from Ramsey Grammar School, has tapped into the current market for environmentally friendly products by selling a reusable and recyclable bag and will be representing the Isle of Man at the Junior Achievement European Company Competition in July. |
