The Government and PDMS have been working together since 1997 to produce a quality website which provides a single interface to all the diverse services and departments of Government. The user-friendly site (www.gov.im) is driven by dynamic and flexible systems which allows for "joined up government" whilst also catering for the requirements of individual departments, boards and offices. Tim Craine, E-Commerce Director who is responsible for the overall development of the Government's website commented, "We had no hesitation in continuing our collaboration with PDMS who have proved to be a first class technology partner. We have been impressed, not only by their technical expertise but also by the high level of service provided to the whole of Government." The Government's website is continually evolving and the software developed by PDMS ensures both flexibility and reliability. The site is updated on a daily basis to provide users on the Isle of Man and around the world with access to the latest information and developments within government. One of the most recent additions to the site is an information section on Foot and Mouth, accessible directly from the homepage, which has been created to provide up to the minute information on how this national crisis is affecting the Isle of Man. Tim added, "The Isle of Man Government website has gone from strength to strength and continues to grow significantly in terms of both size and technical complexity. We are looking forward to working with PDMS on new web initiatives such as the roll out of the new e-commerce section". Importantly, PDMS has access to world class hosting facilities through its sister company Advanced Systems; this means that they are able to provide the Government with a fully integrated web solutions package. Chris Gledhill, Managing Director of PDMS explained "The Isle of Man Government has clearly demonstrated its commitment to becoming an fully integrated electronic government and we are pleased to have the opportunity to support them in a project of this scale and importance". Projects undertaken for a large portfolio of major clients, in many different business sectors, including the NHS and Black & Decker in the USA have established PDMS's reputation as a world class provider of IT solutions.
