New business launch for PDMS PDMS has launched PDMS Consulting, a new division within PDMS that will focus on providing Information and Communication Technology consultancy, complimenting the company's existing software development services. The new operation will also offer more general management consultancy on related business issues such as e-commerce, business process re-engineering and change management. The launch of PDMS Consulting marks the further expansion of the PDMS group and several of the company's most experienced staff, namely Chris Gledhill, Mike Bromwich, Tim Nicholson and Giles Milner will form the core of the new consulting team. The team at PDMS Consulting will work alongside and with PDMS Business Solutions, which has seen some minor restructuring in terms of management responsibilities. Chris Gledhill, Managing Director will be leading the new consultancy team with Bruce McGregor assuming the role of General Manager for PDMS Business Solutions and Andrew Cairns taking up the position of Projects Manager. PDMS Consulting has been strengthened by the arrival of Kurt Roosen as a Senior Consultant. Kurt has an extensive background in IT, particularly in relation to the offshore financial services sector where he has held several high profile positions during the course of his career. He has a wealth of experience, having worked as a Group Technical Service Manager for a financial software house before moving to the Island in 1998 to take up a position with Abbey National. In the position of Head of Architecture Development he was responsible for developing the offshore architecture vision for the Abbey National Offshore Group, providing him with an excellent understanding of the current IT issues facing the financial services industry. Commenting on Kurt's appointment, Chris Gledhill Managing Director, added "We are delighted that Kurt has decided to join us at this exciting stage in the company's development. Kurt is a highly talented, professional and respected member of the local IT community and brings an additional set of skills and expertise to PDMS Consulting and our clients." Speaking to Isle of Man Newspapers, Kurt added, "I'm very pleased to be joining such a progressive and dynamic team. In my new role I aim to use my previous experience to help open up the strategic thinking and practises of larger organisations to the wider business community". On the launch of PDMS Consulting Chris explained, "We have a long track record in providing strategic and technical advice and many years experience of helping businesses benefit from IT. In recognition of our success in this area, we have decided to bring together a dedicated team of consultants whose prime focus will be helping organisations to create value and real competitive advantage from IT". He continued "Our client base for consultancy services is rapidly expanding and we have seen a lot of interest recently in our strategic IT audit service which helps businesses bridge the gap between business and IT and provide them with a clear roadmap for the future development".
