PDMS awarded contract through Catalist Framework with National Fallen Stock Company

National Fallen Stock Company

PDMS are pleased to announce the award of their first contract through the UK Government’s OGCbuying.solutions Catalist framework for the National Fallen Stock Company (NFSCo – www.nfsco.co.uk).

Triad

Working in partnership with the Triad Group plc (www.triad.co.uk), PDMS has won a contract to develop a Transaction Processing System for the NFSCo to support the administration of the National Fallen Stock Scheme (NFSS).

The NFSCo was established in 2004 to assist the livestock industry with compliance with the European Union’s Animal-By-Products Regulations. The company was set up by the Government as a not-for-profit organisation and is run by a board consisting largely of appointees from the farming community. The company is responsible for running the NFSS to provide its members with a reliable, low-cost means of disposing of fallen stock using approved collectors. From April 2008 the company will transfer all of its IT and administration services to the private sector and, as part of this transfer, the systems that currently support the scheme will be replaced by a new Transaction Processing System.

The new system, to be developed using Microsoft’s .NET framework and SQL Server database, will include a secure web-site for members and collectors and an internal administration site for NFSCo and call centre staff.

This contract award follows PDMS’ success in winning a coveted place on the Catalist Framework to provide end to end application development services to a wide range of public sector organisations. OGCbuying.solutions’ framework agreements are fully EU compliant and rigorous tendering and evaluation ensures Catalist accredited suppliers and their partners offer excellent service and value for money. Customers can call off requirements quickly, saving considerable time and costs involved in conducting a full tender exercise. The framework agreements can be used by a wide range of public sector organisations ranging from central and local government right through to emergency services and not for profit sectors.
