December 2007- PDMS & NHS PASA project shortlisted for award The on-line Pharmacy Catalogue, developed by PDMS for the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency (NHS PASA), has made the shortlist for the eGovernment National Awards 2007. November 2007- PDMS feature in Financial Times Report Chris Gledhill was recently interviewed by the Financial Times for an article on PDMS which was published in the Doing Business in the Isle of Man Report on the 13th November. October 2007- PDMS feature in Online Services TV Interview The Isle of Man required an efficient means of delivering Online services to support its extensive range of services. With their partner PDMS, the IoM Government have built a common architecture to provide new online services & facilities. October 2007- PDMS chair CMI Web 2.0 forum Chris Gledhill recently chaired a forum, organized by the Chartered Management Institute, on how Web 2.0 technologies can help businesses. July 2007- TV Report highlights Police Project Success PNLD’s national Police FAQ website, developed by PDMS, was recently featured in a special TV report. The report which features the Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police, Sir Norman Bettison QPM and PDMS’ Giles Milner was showcased at the recent ACPO APA International Police Conference in Manchester. To view the report, please click here. July 2007- New London Office for PDMS July 2007 saw the official opening of PDMS’ new office in London. Whilst our headquarters are in the Isle of Man, we have always had representatives in the UK to help manage our substantial UK client base. However, as our business continues to increase, we decided that we needed to establish a base in the capital and expand the team to also include technical resources. Our London office is conveniently located in Central London with both Euston and Kings Cross Stations only a short distance away. June 2007- PDMS Junior Achievement Award Winners compete in Europe Students from Enigma Enterprise, a Junior Achievement company, set off on Wednesday 25th July to represent the Isle of Man in the Junior Achievement European Company Competitions in Berlin, aiming to impress the judges with their business acumen. In April this year, Enigma Enterprise from Ramsey Grammar School won the PDMS Isle of Man Junior Achievement Company award with their innovative TT Centenary playing cards product. The cards feature 52 of the top TT riders and have been flying off the shelves, with the company already on their second major production run. October 2006- Delivering news direct to the desktop The Isle of Man Government has launched a new service, developed by PDMS, that delivers news and content directly to people’s desktops; a quick and convenient way of keeping up to date with Isle of Man Government news. June 2006- PDMS play a role in the Isle of Man’s famous TT Races The Isle of Man’s famous TT motorbike races attracts thousands of visitors to the Island every year, and this year PDMS have developed software to help track the competitors as they ride around the 37.73 mile course. From its first launch the website was conceived as a Government “portal” playing host to all of the Isle of Man Government Departments, Statutory Boards and Offices, a vision many other Governments are unable to achieve and sustain. June 2005 - New Enhanced Support & Service Team for PDMS PDMS are pleased to announce the launch of their newly expanded Support & Services Team. The team, led by Neal Kelly, is dedicated to providing our clients with a first class support service once projects have gone live. The website and administration systems have been developed by PDMS using their Foundations TM technology. May 2005 - Sports woman of the year award for PDMS sponsored Snowboardcross rider Zoë Gillings Zoë Gillings was named Isle of Man Sports Woman of the year at a recent awards ceremony held in the Isle of Man. Snowboardcrosser Zoe was recognised for her successes in the World Championship. She finished fourth in the recently ended 2004-5 world championship, having won a round in Chile. April 2005 - Prestigious national IT award nomination for PNLD & PDMS FAQ project PDMS and the Police National Legal Database (PNLD) team, with their FAQ project, have reached the shortlist for the Information Age Effective IT Awards (www.effectiveitawards.com). The Effective IT Awards are one of the UK’s most prestigious for users and implementers of IT. The Police National Frequently Asked Questions Database and Website project, established by PNLD, has made the final shortlist in the ‘Most effective use of IT in Public Service’ category. PDMS, as PNLD’s technology partners, used their FoundationsTM technology platform to successfully meet PNLD’s requirements for the project. March 2005 - UK Launch of National Police FAQ Project Home Office Minister Hazel Blears MP recently launched the new national Police Frequently Asked Questions website and database to the police and public at the City Inn, Westminster, London. November 2004 - New development partnership for PDMS & Cyrane Cyrane Systems is pleased to announce that it has secured a technology partnership with software engineering specialists PDMS. Cyrane Managing Director Ian Bland explains, "having developed a comprehensive and affordable direct marketing system (Cyrane Merchant Server) we recognised the need to strengthen both our customer support and ongoing product development capability to meet the needs of this demanding market." September 2004 - Success for PDMS sponsored snowboarder Zoë Castletown based IT company, PDMS, recently presented Zoë Gillings, Britain's only World Cup snowboardcross competitor, with a mobile phone to congratulate her on her recent victories in the opening World Cup events in Chile. Zoë achieved an amazing first place in the opening World Cup race and next day took the silver medal in the second World Cup event. These results have placed her as number 1 in the current snowboardcross World Cup standings. July 2004 - National Police contract for PDMS Castletown based software company PDMS have recently been awarded the contract to supply the content management and database software for The UK Police National Legal Database (PNLD). The contract was awarded following an international tendering process against stiff competition from some of the best known names in the software industry. This further establishes PDMS' ability to compete in this market from their base on the Isle of Man. March 2004 - PDMS technology drives new Sealey CD-ROM Catalogue The PDMS FoundationsTM for catalogues platform has been used to develop the new CD-ROM catalogue for Sealey, one of the UK's leading tool and equipment suppliers. PDMS have been working with Sealey on a number of major e-commerce developments including their corporate website (www.sealey.co.uk) and intranet. The PDMS FoundationsTM platform has provided the tools to control the entire process of presenting product information in multi-media formats from CD to DVD or the Web. March 2003 - Successful Police Exhibition for PDMS PDMS have just returned from a successful exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham where they were participating in the International Police Conference and Exhibition, ACPO 2003. With an existing track record in the criminal justice sector, PDMS have identified a fit with their component based software and the demands of the police for flexible systems based on open data standards. To mark their arrival in the police IT market, PDMS were both exhibiting and speaking at ACPO. ACPO is the UK's largest police event and attracts attendees from police forces and the criminal justice sector in the UK and further afield. March 2003 - Quality Achievement for PDMS PDMS has received ISO 9001 certification from the international certification body Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Ltd (LRQA) for its ICT services which include software development, consultancy and support. This internationally recognised standard focuses on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction and specifies that companies must have systems in place to provide excellence in all areas of service. February 2003 - New & improved home page for Government Website The Isle of Man Government has today launched a new and improved home page for their successful website (www.gov.im). The new home page features an attractive new design but, importantly, navigation has been focused on three key categories of user, namely Residents, Businesses and Visitors. January 2003 - PDMS and Ultrasis plc agree major new partnership deal PDMS are pleased to announce that they have entered into an agreement with Ultrasis plc to become one of their key development partners. Under this development partnership, PDMS will work with Ultrasis, a leading provider of interactive computer based healthcare products and services, on several major new projects. The first of these is adding new functionality to Calm Heart, an on-line coronary assessment tool used by many health professionals including NHS Trusts, and one of Ultrasis' leading products. November 2002 - Timely Project for PDMS McGarrigle and Jackson, an architectural practice in Douglas, have implemented a time recording system developed by PDMS. Until recently, architects and technologists recorded time on proforma sheets that were then handed to administrative staff to enter into an application.
