Visit PDMS at ACPO in London

ACPO

The ACPO-APA Summer Conference and International Policing Exhibition is taking place this week on the 24th and 25th May. For the first time the event is being held at Excel in London and promises to be one of the busiest police events in 2006.

PDMS are exhibiting jointly with PNLD and will be on stand G24 in the IT zone where we will be profiling some of our recent criminal justice projects including:

National Police Statistics Database – A new web database application from PNLD that will enable English & Welsh forces to share crime and user satisfaction statistics and benchmark their performance. The database, to be launched soon, uses data already collated for iQuanta and allows Police Forces to produce comparative reports based on a wide variety of criteria.

National Police Frequently Asked Questions Project (www.askthe.police.uk) – PNLD’s national website and database that provides answers to police related frequently asked questions. Open to the public and used by Force Call Handlers, it saves vital time and is estimated to have saved resources of approximately £1.7 million. To allow for even greater coverage, PDMS have developed a version for use on a Blackberry.

Police National Legal Database System (www.pnld.co.uk) – a new web version of the only up to date source of legal information that is available to the whole of the Police Sector in England and Wales. Driven by PDMS’ Foundations TM document and content solution, it can cater for up to 200,000 users and can be accessed online, through the CJX or on CD-Rom.

Crime, Lost & Found Property System – a sophisticated on-line system to manage the complete property process from the moment items of property are seized or handed in through to their ultimate return or disposal. Currently in use in over 21 OCU’s (Divisions) at West Midlands Police.

Probation Case Administration System – software developed to replace the Isle of Man Probation Service’s legacy application. A case management system that handles the different facets of the Probation Service’s work including all client contact, community service and reporting against UK National Standards.
