ISO 9001:2000

In March 2003 PDMS were assessed by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) and were certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 for our Quality Management System. Our certification covers business systems consultancy, design, development, on-going support and related consultancy for Information Communications Technology (ICT) solutions and applications.

Our certification demonstrates that our business systems, including our development processes & procedures, meet internationally recognized standards.

ISO/IEC 27001

PDMS have been awarded certification to the International Security standard ISO/IEC 27001 (previously known as BS 7799) by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance.

BS 7799 was first introduced in the UK by the Department of Trade and Industry in 1995 to offer best practice and guidance in information security management. Outlining standards specific to information security management; the standard focuses on areas such as security policy, physical and environmental security, access control and business continuity management. It is now internationally recognised as a useful management tool in the battle against a wide range of information security hazards.

In October 2005 BS 7799 part 2, was revised and formally adopted as a new international standard, ISO/IEC 27001:2005. PDMS are one of the first companies to be assessed and certified against this new updated standard.

ISO/IEC 20000-1

PDMS are actively working towards achieving ISO/IEC 20000-1 certification which relates to the effective management of IT services.

ISO/IEC 20000-1 is applicable to organisations providing IT service management activities and is based on the work done by the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) and the internationally accepted IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL). The standard was reissued as International Service Management standard, ISO/IEC 20000-1 in December 2005 superseding the 2002 edition of the BS15000 standard.
